How to get your life back on Track?

Spread the love

As we grow the life challenges take control of our lives and we start living in compulsion. Getting back life on track become hard with time. Life crises and especially middle life crises are spreading like pandemics and the worst part is that we are the creator of our own life crises.

The fast-moving modern world and the feeling of missing out (FOMO) resulted in unrealised stress and anxiety. The present generation has more facilities than the previous generation and has more mental problems.

Therefore, it is high time to give up things that are not in our control and start working on bringing our life back on track.

8 Things One Should Do to Get Life Back on Track

1. Don’t Criticize Yourself

Before being kind to others, we need to be kind to ourselves. In life, nothing will go according to plan. And most of the time we will be the primary reason for our failure. Instead of criticizing ourselves, we need to observe things critically.

Love yourself. It doesn’t mean having pride or doing what you want to do irrationally. It simply means we accept our situation and we will evolve with every failure. Work through your fears, insecurities and anger. Help yourself to grow beyond.

2. Don’t hold the Past and Shoulder-off the baggage

A teacher explained to their students that I can hold a glass of water with my stretched arm easily for a few seconds. It will become difficult to hold the glass constantly for a few minutes.

This exercise will become more hard and painful as time goes by. He said, the body is the same, a person is the same and the weight of the glass is the same. The only variable here is time.

The same goes with life, if you continue to hold your past and bear the burden of past baggage then life will become more and more hard and painful with time.

While holding your past and wasting time in regretting something, you miss the beauty of present life. If something happened as you planned then it is good but if not then it’s better.

3. Don’t Be the Person that you used to be

Every human being has to go through different phases of life. We are all born as a child and then go to adolescent age. Then we enter our youth stage and so on.

With time we all evolve. It is good to keep a child alive inside your heart, but if you want to do the same thing that children do then it is a disaster.

Human being follows the law of inertia. We tend to follow the path that we feel to be least resistant and it results in lethargy both physical and mentally.

Step outside the person you have been and leave your comfort zone. Start working for the life you want to live.

4. Leave the Negative thought

The human mind moves to and fro between positive and negative scenarios. Especially in the hard times, more negativity surrounds the person which sometimes leads to depression. Therefore, it is imperative for our betterment that we don’t get entangled in negativity.

Read about the life of big people like Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi and many more. Every great person’s life is filled with hardship, pain and failure. Get inspired by them and work towards your goal.

5. Do not think other’s life is easier

Every life has its own struggle. Nobody in this world is immune to hardship and failure. It is easy to say that somebody has got no problem and that is why he/she has something that we dreamed of. But the reality is totally different.

One day I asked my influencer friend about her life. She visits many places, and wears different brands of clothes and other accessories. I said your life is sorted. She replied that everything is fake. She was going through hard times and facing her own problem.

It is wrong to think that others’ life is sorted and you have all the problems in the world.

6. Do Not Compare with Others

Peer pressure is not real but we make it true for yourselves. One day I told to my mother that my friend has become a scientist. She replied who don’t you become one. Now you are behind him.

My answer was very simple that is, I don’t want to be a scientist. And I am not behind him, as I am not in any race with him. If I consider every person to be my competitor then I have to run multiple races which I don’t want to be part of.

Do not compare with others. It will disturb inner peace, for no reason.

7. Do not let other’s judgement Control You

In the times of social media, we all try hard to get people’s approval for our lifestyle. Getting others’ opinion has become a major part of our lifestyle which also create unnecessary stress.

The problem is that everybody forms an opinion about others from one angle only. It means they don’t know the reality of your life. Only you know it. So, have belief in yourself because only you know the whole picture of your life story.

Don’t waste your time getting others’ approval and do not let others control you. Do not think that you are Weak to move forward

Life is hard and we all understand that but it is good also. The right time to do anything good with your life is now. There is no better time than the present time.

No matter how hard life is, there is always some room left to move forward and do what is required to get your life back on track. We all need to improve 1% more than yesterday. One step at a time, one moment at a time.

8. Overthinking is the curse

Not thinking is bad but overthinking is a human mind curse. It is because 99% of the things that I used to fear in my life never happened and it takes a lot of energy and time.

Overthinking leads to Worry and it leads to Stress and Depression. Life is hard and doing things as mentioned in this article is also hard. But nothing worthy comes easily.

We Don’t have any option than going forward. By looking back, we can only park the car but to go to the places we have to look forward.
