There are very few writers in the world who can manage to keep the same charm in their writing even after a prolonged period of time especially when it comes to series.

AMISH TRIPATHI is one such writer who kept his pen running in the same flow as he did 12 years ago with “IMMORTALS OF MELUHA”.

The latest book in his “RAM CHANDRA” series was released on 3 October taking the Indian market of books by storm while marking amazon’s best-seller even before its release, this is the 4th book in the series named “WAR OF LANKA”.

The book followed the story of the tri-junction of the last 3 books where Sita was captured by Raavan in his Pushpak Viman and taken to the city of Lanka.

Amish with his brilliance captured each moment of the original Ramayana with his unique touch of modernity where he mixed mythology with the pinch of science, making Sabri the important part of Sabarimala temple, the science that how ram setu can be constructed even with an explanation of science and how Raavan a pirate but an intelligent one designed the city of Lanka for the betterment of its citizen.

The most interesting part of this book was how the Amish molded the perfection of a mythological villain Raavan into an intelligent, romantic, and courageous warrior who fights for evil but with a hidden desire to end evil too.

The character of RAM is defined in a balanced manner with one side being ‘Maryada Purshotam’ and another being a warrior with the most skilled fighting skills in the Indian peninsular.

The character of Sita is not just set into a casual woman but into a warrior being with the potential to be called a Vishnu of India who will guide the motherland India into a better future and create a world order of peace.

The book is a unique blend of science, mythology, and fiction where it touches the important aspects of the original Ramayan without hampering its essence of it, with great details of fighting scenes to the intriguing details of ancient India.

I will suggest reading all the previous parts not just the Ram Chandra series but also the immortals of Meluha trilogy too because what I observed is that there are many aspects where both novels are connected in a very cyclical manner.
