Riot Games has just released the highly anticipated Valorant Patch 6.05 update, which aims to address several bugs related to the new agent, Gekko. The patch notes also include fixes for other issues that plagued Valorant Episode 6 Act 2.

AGENT UPDATES
GEKKO
- Improved targeting of Wingman’s Q ability during planting and defusing to target higher locations for Gekko.
- Added audio variations for Mosh Pit’s C explosions to enhance the game’s audio experience.
- Improved audio for Dizzy’s E ability to distinguish if it’s flying towards the player or towards an ally while in the air.
- Added VFX for when Gekko is reclaiming an orb and when the globule reclaim is complete.
- Improved visuals for enemy creature globules to make them more distinct.
- Improved performance during Agent Select for a smoother experience overall.
PERFORMANCE UPDATES
In the latest update, a new metric called “CPU Wait GPU Time” has been added to the performance settings. This feature is designed to assist players in tracking when their machines are Render Thread bound.
BUGS
AGENT GEKKO
- Wingman can now take melee damage after a bug was fixed.
- The bug where ally Gekko orbs appeared white outside of custom Replication has been fixed.
- Multiple animation issues across all abilities have been resolved.
- Fixed UI issues with Gekko’s ultimate, which would stay on screen if the round ended while possessing Thrash.
- Fixed a bug in Custom games where Wingman couldn’t defuse the Spike after using the Swap Team command.
- Fixed a bug where Wingman could run too far while casting Spike plant in mid-air.
- The bug where damage from Mosh Pit could be avoided while crouch-jumping has been fixed.
- Wingman’s torso now triggers Cypher’s Trapwire (C) after a bug fix.
- The correct animation now plays while casting Wingman, as the incorrect one was fixed.
- Gekko can now plant in Spike Rush if Wingman was stopped, resolving a previous bug.
GAMEPLAY SYSTEMS
- The Import button will no longer be grayed out if you have 10 or more saved crosshair profiles, resolving a crosshair issue.
- Players can still save up to 15 crosshair profiles, even after the bug fix.
- The bug where players could crouch jump to avoid damage from damage-over-time area abilities has been fixed.
PERFORMANCE
With the latest update, the Used Memory performance metric will now update even if the Total Memory performance metric is disabled.
- Resolved a bug where players would appear more than once in the friends list due to bad platform disconnection.
- Fixed the issue where voice tooltips were incorrectly rendered when toggling Party/Team voice chat on and off.
- Fixed a bug where the invite menu would flicker at times.
- The count of online friends will now update after unfriending an online player.
- Pending friend requests will now be auto-rejected when players enable the Auto-Reject friend requests setting.
- System notifications confirming sent friend requests will no longer show whitespace.
- Players will now receive a message informing them that they will also be banned from competitive queue if they currently have a comms ban.
