According to ‘About Us’ of the Comfyshe, their journey started in 2016. But according to Scamadviser Comfyshe’s domain age is just 47 days old. Who is wrong here?
The aim of writing against the scam site is just to aware as many people as we can against the scam site or the site which has the potential to turn into a scam.
We do not recommend the Comfyshe site for any use. The reasons for non-recommendation are mentioned below. Please read them and understand them and never share your information with Comfyshe.
Findings From Reader’s Comments:
First, Nowadays scammers have to send the product to the customer in order to release their money from the bank or Paypal. The problem is that they never send the right product.
They just need the receiving receipt, by showing it they get their money. When the customer files a complaint about a defective product. The scam website offers two options:
First, ship back the product back to them (in many cases to China) and bear the charges; Second, get a 5-7% refund of your money.
Second, People to make sure that the site is not a scam, call the number given on the website. The scammers talk in a way that customer believes their words and do shopping.
The problem is when you call the number given on the scam website they are not going to say that ‘we are scammers and don’t buy from us’. They are always going to lure you into their trap.
This point is a little tricky but this is what happens nowadays.
Third, Scammers have become professional and evolved at a much higher rate than anyone. The scam sites nowadays even scamming people, don’t get shut down easily.
Understand this point clearly, when you file a complaint and they offer your refund they are refunding you (no matter if they are returning pennies).
They got your email ids and other information. Now they send different offers to you like get a voucher for a 60% discount and other offers. They have the audacity to send these offers to their victims.
Below given points are some fundamentals which we always look at before using any site. Share this information with everyone in your social circle.
Why Comfyshe is Not a Good Site to Shop?
Information Brings Trust
First, Comfyshe website does not tell us about its parent company or their owners. We failed to trace any information about Comfyshe owners online.
It clearly indicates that the owners of this online shopping website hide their information intentionally. Hiding such information is not appreciable.
Hiding such important information is never expected from any genuine website. This kind of action is always seen on scam websites.
Genuine websites always come up with proper and detailed information about their identity. This helps in building confidence between websites and customers. Customers always trust these sites as they are aware of the people with whom they are dealing.
Discount a Trap
Second, Comfyshe has provided discounts on mostly all of its products. None of their products is without discount. Discount is the only attraction for the Comfyshe website.
A discount is an instrument for any scam website to attract customers. Any genuine website will not be able to provide discounts on its entire product. Technically this is impossible.
All season heavy discounts provided on any online shopping website can have only two probabilities i.e.
- Either they are selling a copy or duped products. Or
- They are selling genuine products with managed, and false discounts.
Any genuine website can never afford all season discounts as it has to go through several market checks and protocols regarding the maximum and minimum price at which a product can be sold.
Copied Content
Third, Product Images of the Comfyshe websites are copied from different sites and sources. They do not have any genuine images for their products. Genuine online shopping websites use unique images for their products.
Copying images is not a fair practice and it can also involve criminal conspiracy. Copying images is considered a crime under the law of intellectual property rights.
Genuine online shopping websites can never take risk of copying their product images and the content from some other websites.
Security Measures
Fourth, Comfyshe has not provided any information about the security measures they have adopted to protect their website. Security is always a concern for all websites. Any website which lacks security tools should not be considered reliable and safe.
Nowadays, most websites are prone to data theft. Hackers try to hack people’s information to sell it to another party or misuse them for other purposes.
Using non-secured websites can also cause theft of our transactional data, which can be misused for any illegal purposes. We request our readers to not use any financial and transactional details on any unsecured websites.
Payment Gateways
Fifth, Comfyshe has asked its customers to use Paypal for their payments and transactions. They are not registered merchants on PayPal. The Paypal icon on their website is not clickable. It clearly resembles that they have used an image in the place of the icon.
Icon of any payment gateways has merchant registration certificates attached to it. Scam sites most of the time use payment gateways images on behalf of genuine icons to misguide customers.
Registering at any payment gateways is quite costly and also merchants have to provide every single detail for it. So to avoid giving them money and details, Scam websites do not register on payment gateways.
Sixth, the Social media presence of Comfyshe is not good. They have a few hundred likes on their FB page but on the post, only 2 likes at max. Since their journey started in 2016, why do they have only a few hundred likes?
We understand that not having a good social media presence is not the point of authenticity but it is a point of the sincerity of the site.
The social media platform is necessary for any online shopping website as social media is the place for its advertisement and promotions. Any online shopping store which has to grow will definitely need social media presence.
End-Note
Comfyshe is not a good online shopping store in our view. They have many red flags which are not expected in any genuine online shopping websites.
Shopping online is a great idea, but don’t ruin your shopping experience by using any non-reliable websites. Scammers are always in search of an opportunity to scam people with their fake websites, but just by being aware we can scam the scammers.
Our work is to aware people not only about the scam sites but also about the site which has the potential to turn into a scam. We don’t wait for people to get scammed and then write an article.
