Findings From Readers’ Comments:
First, Nowadays scammers have to send the product to the customer in order to release their money from the bank or Paypal. The problem is that they never send the right product.
They just need the receiving receipt, by showing it they get their money. When the customer files a complaint about a defective product. The scam website offers two options:
First, ship back the product back to them (in many cases to China) and bear the charges; Second, get a 5-7% refund of your money.
Second, People to make sure that the site is not a scam, call the number given on the website. The scammers talk in a way that customer believes their words and do shopping.
The problem is when you call the number given on the scam website they are not going to say that ‘we are scammers and don’t buy from us’. They are always going to lure you into their trap.
This point is a little tricky but this is what happens nowadays.
Third, Scammers have become professional and evolved at a much higher rate than anyone. The scam sites nowadays even scamming people, don’t get shut down easily.
Understand this point clearly, when you file a complaint and they offer your refund they are refunding you (no matter if they are returning pennies).
They got your email ids and other information. Now they send different offers to you like get a voucher for a 60% discount and other offers. They have the audacity to send these offers to their victims.
Below given points are some fundamentals that we always look at before using any site. Share this information with everyone in your social circle.
Why Wowsclub is Not a Good Site to Shop?
Information Brings Transparency
First, Wowsclub has not informed us about them. Their About page is all of some random passion and beliefs, which is not valuable.
They are missing the most important part which is informing people about them and their owners. We tried to get more information about Wowsclub on Google but we do not get any information about them.
The hiding details of their owner are not good for any genuine online shopping website. Hiding information is the mojo of scam sites.
The credibility and transparency of any online shopping website depend on the information they have provided to its customers or members.
Any website like Wowsclub, that does not inform about itself, should never be considered reliable and genuine.
Discount a Trap
Second, Discounts play the most important role to attract customers to any Online Shopping Site. Scammers always plant discounts to trap people with their scams
.Peoples in search of good discounts visit various sites without caring about the authenticity of the websites. Scammers take this as an opportunity to set up scam websites, offering the deals people were searching for online.
Discounts have nothing to do with the authenticity of any online shopping website. But in most cases, discounts are used as a tool to trap people.
Wowsclub offers good discounts on its every product even on fresh arrivals which are not possible for any genuine site. It shows that Wowsclub offers something which a normal genuine site cannot offer.
Never buy anything from unknown and unpopular websites and most of them later turn into scams. Always shop from known and legitimate websites like Amazon. Below is a list of products which you can compare with this site offers.
Copied Image and Content
Third, Images and catalogues provided in Wowsclub do not belong to them. They are copied from different sites and platforms. Images of genuine websites are always unique.
Genuine websites always prefer authentic and unique images and catalogues. Scammers always prefer to copy images and other parts of the website rather than create their unique content.
They follow this idea every time. But genuine shopping websites always include unique and genuine content on their websites.
Wowsclub has most of its contents copied from different sources, which can be checked by any plagiarism tools available online.
Privacy Security
Fourth, the Terms of service and privacy page provided by Wowsclub are copied. They have not provided any information about any security measures and protocols.
Online data theft and hacking are very common nowadays. Securing data that belongs to the website and its users is always a concern for any genuine online shopping website.
Any online fashion website without any security software cannot be considered safe for shopping.
Contact
Fifth, Wowsclub has provided a contact number, and e-mail id along with some random address. They have even provided one more address with different names on their Return Policy page.
But still contacting them is not easy. In most cases, only they can contact us.
Any customer would never expect their retailer to behave this way. But these tactics are used in online fashion scams. Scammers use this same idea on most of their websites.
Communication is the most essential thing a user expects from the website. Any website, with a defective communication channel, can never be trusted.
Sixth, Wowsclub has a very less social media presence. They have a page on Instagram which is mostly untouched by customers. This page has no space for discussion.
They don’t want their customers to talk about them and their products or share their experiences with them.
Mostly all genuine website wants their customers to talk and share about them and their products. A social media page helps to create goodwill for any website and promote the site.
This shows that Wowsclub neither wants goodwill nor promotions.
Any new or unpopular Online Fashion website with a low social media presence should always be cross-checked with other fundamental factors that should always be available on genuine websites.
Payment Gateways
The payment gateways icons present on the site are not clickable. To get original Payment Gateways icons on the site, the site maker has to pay some amount and provide their information.
The payment gateways present on the Wowsclub site are not clickable. It means they are not original.
The scammers don’t use original payment gateways. It will raise the cost of making the site. Also, they have to provide their real information to payment system companies. Information is what they are trying hard to hide.
